Species-specific description: Bi et al. (2021) investigated Fec B expression in six different goat tissues, and analyzed the effect of five potential copy number variations (CNVs) (CNV1-5) within the Fec B gene on litter size. The authors propose that CNV3 and CNV5 could serve as potential DNA molecular markers. Jose et al. (2023) report creation of a FecB mutation into goat embryos using CRISPR technology (GMO).
