Mapping: Huson et al. (2012) conducted two GWAS analyses for heat tolerance in Alaskan Sprint Racing Sled dogs; on 150 dogs genotyped with the Illumina HD Canine SNP chip (yielding 115,425 SNPs for analysis), and on 45 dogs genotyped with the Affymetrix v2.0 Canine SNP chip (yielding 48,716 SNPs for analysis). The results highlighted a region on chromosome CFA10, which includes the MYH9 gene, which was regarded as the most likely candidate.
