History: As reported via http://www.orangutans.com.au/Orangutans-Survival-Information/BOS-Foundation-Rescues-Albino-Orangutan.aspx, "The BOS [Borneo Orangutan Survival] Foundation, in cooperation with Central Kalimantan BKSDA, has successfully rescued a 5-year-old female orangutan from Tanggirang village, Kapuas Hulu sub-district, Kapuas Regency, Central Kalimantan. The rescue took place on April 29, after receiving information from the Kapuas Hulu of Police. She was held captive by local residents for two days but is displaying wild behaviours, meaning there is a good chance she could soon be released back to a natural habitat. A preliminary physical examination conducted by our medical team has determined this is an albino orangutan: her hair, eye, and skin color is paler than normal, and she is also sensitive to light. BOS Foundation will continue to observe her and conduct routine health tests at Nyaru Menteng Clinic."
