History: Edmonds et al. (1973): "A lethal defect was observed in a herd of Aberdeen Angus over a four-year period. Seven calves were born with microagnathia and the three animals that were autopsied also exhibited cerebellar hypoplasia. The defect was traced to a common ancestor and is believed to be transmitted as a simple autosomal recessive."
