Species-specific description: In this disorder, the adult fleece is typical of that seen in new-born lambs (consisting of hairy [medullated] fibres produced almost entirely by primary follicles; in contrast to normal wool, which has no medulla, and which is produced by secondary follicles and modified primary follicles).
