OMIA:001807-9615 : Leishmaniasis, susceptibility/resistance to in Canis lupus familiaris (dog) |
Categories: Immune system phene
Links to possible relevant human trait(s) and/or gene(s) in OMIM: 602068 (trait)
Mendelian trait/disorder: unknown
Disease-related: yes
Mapping: By conducting a GWAS on 115 resistant and 104 susceptible Boxer dogs, each genotyped with the Illumina CanineHD BeadChip (yielding 126,607 SNPs for analysis), Quilez et al. (2012) highlighted regions on chromosomes CFA1, 4, and 20 "although none of these were statistically significant at a genome-wide level and after correcting for genetic stratification and lifestyle".
