OMIA:001822-9823 : Postpartum dysgalactia syndrome in Sus scrofa (pig)

Categories: Endocrine / exocrine gland phene (incl mammary gland)

Mendelian trait/disorder: unknown

Disease-related: yes

Inheritance: The heritability of this disorder has been estimated in the range 2% to 20% (Lingaas and Ronningen, 1991; Krieter and Presuhn, 2009; Preissler et al., 2013).

Mapping: By conducting a GWAS on 322 affected and 275 normal sows, each genotyped with the Illumina PorcineSNP60 BeadChip, yielding 49,740 informative SNPs, Preissler et al. (2013) highlighted regions on chromosomes SSC13, 15, and 17.
